Sometimes our artistic creativity stays hidden unless we have an opportunity to be in a creative environment.
Come discover the artist in you by appreciating the simplistic beauty and role of lines in the art of Ikebana.
Mr Peter Chin will help you realize your inner potential of being creative and being able to appreciate ikebana using simple floral material.
Under the guidance of workshop facilitators and Ikebana International members, you will be able to create a simple ikebana arrangement based on the zen philosophy of being minimalistic.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and advance students and is open to public.
Please bring your own container, scissor and kenzan, floral materials will be provided.
Container and kenzan are available on loan upon request.

ABOUT MR PETER CHIN
Peter Chin is one of Singapore’s renowned international floral designer & educator. He started Floristry in the Japanese Art Form of Sogetsu Ikebana in 1975.
His experience of over 4 decades has given him a deep understanding of concepts of Ikebana and working with natural material.
Through the years, he has studied and assisted many world renowned Floral Designers to broaden his floristry skills and has won many awards including the Interflora (Pacific Unit South 1) Designer of the Year 2001
He has raised funds and participated in many floral exhibitions in S.E Asia, China, England, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, Taiwan and has competed in the Grand Final at the 50th Interflora Golden Anniversary in New Zealand in 2002.
He has also worked in and decorated many 5 Star Hotels and Royal Palaces in Malaysia, Singapore and was the Principal Floral Designer for the Brunei Palaces.
Until April 2017, he served as President of FDSS (Floral Designers Society Singapore) 2015 – 2017
