Profile of Mrs Saito Risho
Started her ikebana lesson in 1969 with Sogetsu School in Japan and in 1978 became a Sogetsu teacher in her hometown in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. She joined the following ikebana exhibitions in 1995 – Busan (Korea), 1996 – Qintao (China) and 1998 – New York (USA). Enthusiastically, she also participated in the 2009 Yokohama World Convention and 2006 Tokyo World Convention respectively. Her enthusiasm continued in 2000 Asian Regional Conference in Kuala Lumpur and 2002 in Singapore whereby she showcased her ikebana works. She was also a judge for the Orchid Festival. She is currently a member of Ikebana International Kuala Lumpur Chapter 72, Penang Sogetsu Association and Yamaguchi Prefecture. She has attained to become Grade 1 Komon Sogetsu Teacher.

Profile of Mr Gilson Chong
Born in Penang, he started to learn western floral arrangement in 1980 and in 1986 won lst place for his design in Malaysia. Started his teaching in floristry and in ‘80s and in 1993 joined Sogetsu Association. He has attained various medicine without prescriptions awards in the ‘90s and participated in the Asian Regional Conferences in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore as well as the 8th World Convention in Yokohama, Japan in 2001. He is now a Grade 2 Sogetsu Teacher.
